PS 131 General Psychology- 3 credits
A study of the human mind and behavior from a Biblical point of view. Attention given to such concepts as personality, learning, memory and mental health. Consideration of the biological, social and cultural factors in human development. REQUIRED
PS 332 Child Psychology- 3 credits
A study of the personality development of the child from infancy to adolescence with emphasis on the physical, emotional, social, educational, moral and spiritual areas of life. Special emphasis is placed on the application of theory by observing and interacting with children in the classroom. Prerequisite: PS 131. REQUIRED
PS 412 Adolescent Psychology- 3 credits
A study of the psychological principles that govern adolescent behavior. An investigation of adolescent needs and goals in relation to physical, intellectual, emotional, social, moral and spiritual development. Prerequisite: PS 131. REQUIRED
PS 431 Educational Psychology- 3 credits
A study of the psychology of human learning processes with consideration of student motivation, contemporary educational trends, classroom management, and educational learning theories. Special emphasis is placed on the psychology of teaching by the student preparing, teaching, reviewing, and testing an actual lesson. Prerequisite: PS 131 REQUIRED
